About the Weather
This is what it's all about! This it
what allows us to spend our days being out and about and active
through the winter months.
Average temperatures through the winter months
in the Phoenix area are similar to early summer in the northern
U.S. and Canada. But even better.
There are five really important
benefits
to winter life in Arizona. Usually much more
conducive to outdoor life than most northerners have ever
experienced.
-
Consistent and pleasant
temperature
-
Sunshine
-
Lack of wind
-
Low humidity
-
Almost no bugs or other annoying
critters
The following charts provide an indication of
averages throughout the winter months. Of course these are just
averages and there can be variances. But probably far more
consistent than that experienced in the north.

And the bugs. Have we mentioned that
before? Probably doesn't fit under 'weather' but it is a huge
benefit to outdoor life.
"I never thought that critters would also hibernate
in warm climates, but they do. During a six week period I saw
exactly two bugs. I never realized before how pleasant it can be
to have nice summer days outdoors without bug spray or swatting
the critters off the food. It is quite pleasant. But, of course,
in the early fall and late spring they are around."
